Olga Kyriakidou

I was born, lived and studied in America. My first contact with Andros was in 1969, when I first came to Greece and the island. I remember as a child how impressed I was with Batsi. I got to know my roots, the house of my grandmother and great-grandmother. My great-great-grandfather was the craftsman who built the first houses in Batsi. So the island also has sentimental value for me.

I moved permanently to Greece in 1989 and worked in the private sector. I retired and  I wanted to give something back to the place I love during my free time. As a hiker and runner I thought it was ideal to offer my time to Andros Routes. The best way to get to know the island is from these paths!

I have also been impressed with the organization and warmth of the group of people I have met at Andros Routes!
